Summer sun quilt UFO

Another UFO that need to be finished. I started "Summer sun" in the middle of the very cold winter of 2014-2015. I really needed colors in my life when everything was shades of grey outside so I took the brightest of orange in my stash and did this quilt. I just need to sew the flowers and it is done.
This quilt has been kitty approuved by Rocky and Willow, my foster kitties....they have since been adopted together.

Mystahhhhhry along with Hillbilly #3

I barely had time to sit at my sewing machine this week. At the beguining of the month I scored a "free classes all month" pass on Craftsy so I have been viewing as many class as possible and learned loads of new techniques.
I am also doing this mystahhhhhhhry english paper piecing quilt and it is taking a lot of time to do every evening. I finished my Sky bound quilt (pictures to come) and still working at quilting the "cat at twilight" quilt.

I have been facinated by those lately. Can't help but wonder how I can try to reproduce the same  3D effects on fabric.

Sky bound "almost" finished

Good friday everyone.
You see that bottom right corner......this is where i ran out of tread. It is pretty much the story of my life. For every quilt I have to run to the store because I ran out LOL. Since I really wanted to have a finish today, I decided to just bind the quilt and finish today after going to the fabric store.

Fall UFO

Finished my fall UFO...well finished, am I ever finished without adding appliqué that tell a story? For this one I will add some fall leafs I think. I will do some fabric painting because I do not have the perfect fabric to make fall leafs. As usual, my dear kitty is testing it :)

On another news, "sky bound" is amost finished quilting. I love this motif, I cant help but pet it :) It is perfect as it look like wind and clouds

Free motion quilting dark purple fabric with dark purple tread will make you see double.

Mystahhhhhry along with Hillbilly.....or when you have no idea what you are doing

I decided to join Facebook mysrahhhhhry quilt. First time doing a quilt that I don't know what it will look like. Also the first time doing EPP . so with my hands full of glue I did the first block.....only 5more to go for this part of the mystery :)

Friday finish .......or maybe not

This is what I have done with "the Dancer" quilt....and it feel unfinished. I will add another border and I am toying with adding flowers appliqué in in the corners. And once it is quilted I will add a 3D tulle tutu :) I now have a good idea how to do it.
I love the grey and pink combo.

p.s. Oh nooooo, just noticed the mistake LOL Well me and my trusted seam reaper will have some quality time :-P

I have a friend, well it is an internet friend, we never met but we have known each other's for more than 10 years. She married an american and even had a darling little girl together. They were trying to come back to Canada and it has been hell. They finally had the good news that my friend's husband can come to Canada after 2 years!!! They needed help for this final part of the road so I told her I would donate a quilt and austion it !!! We were able to get 125$ for it so I am very happy that my "Fairy Garden" quilt found a home and it will help reunite a family.
