Summer Sun is ready to shine

The Summer Sun quilt is finally done. I started this quilt in the middle of a cold and grey spring where everything was colourless outside. I needed bold colours and picked the orange fabric in my stash....don't ask me what it was doing there, I hate orange but this quilt made me love it. The grey, white and beige borders frame nicely the blocks. For quilting I used what I learned in the "dot to dot quilting " Crafty class with Angela Walters. Love this class and it was perfect for this quilt.

Now I can cross one thing on my to do list

- Lady at bath......working on different backgrounds but can't find what I want yet.....
- mystahhhhhry quilt. Didn't start clue 9 yet.
-  Fall colours ....still ripping the pebbles I FMQ on is taking forever!!!
- The dancer. Didn't touched her this week
- Summer Sun done.
- Cat at twilight, same as last week ;)

  1. What a beautiful quilt! Sure to brighten up the winter that we all know is coming. The quilting looks awesome!

  2. Orange is my favourite colour! It's a great finish. Good job on the quilting. Thanks for linking up with TGIFF.
