When marking darker fabrics....use soap that is too thin :) It work great...is pretty much free and that way my kids won't smooch the soap into a paste and stick it on the bath walls !!!! I started quilting my peacock quilt as you can see :)
Good tip, my mom used to do that and I totally forgot. I sometimes use a hera marker since that leaves no mark just a crease for some hard to see fabrics.
