Well there is always EPP

Since my dear Millie the sewing machine is at the Dr, I go one of my UFO out. This is a mystery quilt I started a few months ago. It is nice to just sit on the sofa and hand piece while watching tv or listening to my audio books.

Ahhh man!!!!!

The good news is that I got my sewing machine back.

The bad news is that I had to bring her back into the shop. It was sewing great but skipping stitches like crazy when I tried doing FMQ. Funny thing is it was skipping stitches only in one direction and doing great in the other directions.

I was able to slowly and painfully finish my confetti quilt (will post pictures as soon as I can take nice outside pictures)

It is not because I don't have a machine that I can't rescue a few fabrics from the discount bin

How absolutely adorable is that fabric? Love all those proper fox :)

And I also found those ladies :) They will probably end up in the "too pretty to cut" pile

OMG OMG OMG!!!!!

Those are not good OMG!!! They are bad ones!!! My sewing machine is at the Doctor because it started doing weird sounds......Now my old Singer is back on my working table but I sure miss my dear Brother. I was unable to finish quilting my confetti quilt....I only have about 1 hour of work to be done, FMQ on my old machine is just not working.

No design wall this week

I have too much quilting to do to design anything. I am quilting my confetti quilt. I might pick out the spiral....I will see how I feel about it when the whole quilt will be quilted. The batting is poly and puffy. It is really hard to keep a nice line and it look too wobbly to my taste.

I also got a few charm packs that are absolutely adorable!!!! No idea what I will do with those :)

A little something for Valentine

I really wanted to try some trapunto and since Valentine day was coming.....I decided to make a cute wall hanging for the occasion. I hyperquilted the feathers in pink and white. :)

Thank everyone that gave me advice about this top. They were all good. I found some solid grey in  my stash and use those to make this quilt a bit bigger. It is for my daughter's teacher. Madame Lise is one dedicated lady that obviously love what she does and my daughter had her for 3 out of 4 school years. She was able to recognize and help diagnose my baby's dyslexia and we both love her :) So this quilt will be the perfect end of school gift. The color is a bit off but it was the best picture I could take :) I will take a much better one when it will be quilted.
