Next Scrappy butterfly

and the winner tub is....yellow / orange. I do not have many scraps for those colors since it is not my favorite. I can't wear those colors without looking greenish and I do not have a tendency of buying fabrics just because I've fell in love. I have an idea of a fox quilt and I will have to go shopping in a real store instead of shopping in my stash like I usually do.

Not sure if I will like this butterfly....we will see. :)

Under my needle this week

I found those fantastic old linens and they are the best to practice a bit of Free Motion Quilting. The hard part is to decide what to do. :) There is no yellow spot in real life.

This week I also started a new scrappy butterfly. I've put back my tub of reds and got my purple one :)

I doodle a lot!!!! Mainly at work....not that I am wasting my time but often I have to wait after my computer. I am a technical drafter and sometime I have to launch a commend and wait for it to be done. This is how I pass the time. And you??? Do you doodle?

Antique Linens

Look what I found. I got 3 pieces of antique linens for a very good price. I will use them to practice my free motion quilting.

Scrappy Butterfly

I found this little nice project on Craftsy.com and knew I had to do it. It is a great way to use scraps so I got one tub and went to work. I think I might do a butterfly for each colors scraps I have. :) One more WIP....but who is counting :) I give you the link. It is not my pattern and do not get any moneys from it :)

A quilting buffet kind of mood

My quilting is all over the place lately. One hour of this, 15 minutes of that and why not 30 minutes of quilting this. Sometime I will dive into a project and every other projects take a back side until I am done but right now I like the diversity of my quilting buffet. :)

I am doing slow but steady progress with my Mystahhhry EPP quilt

I finally found the what I want to do next with my Vitrail quilt

`

oh and look what I found. This quilt was started...hummm 7 years ago I think. My first EPP. I added the border and now thinking about what to add. It would make a great gift for a baby boy. It is not as crooked as it look in the picture :)

And doing progress on my reversible free motion Class quilt. First time using those 2 colors together. It is nice but next time I won't use it for such big panels. I don't have a picture but the other side is much less colorful :) It is the gray and print you see on the square corner block. (Note to self......why do you always wait to hide the threads??? )

Vitrail

I didn' sew very much  last week. I was able to finish the center panel of this quilt. I call it Vitrail, it is the french word for stained glass :-)

I was thinking of adding appliqué as if we were looking this window from outside but I find the results too busy for my taste so I took it off.

Millie is back and under my needle this week

Millie the sewing machine is back and in great shape !!!

This week, in addition with my EPP mystery quilt, I am working on a stained glass window Quilt. It is an all batik quilt. Like usual I am not sure where it will go but it is the exciting part of creation.

I am also working on a free motion quilting class quit I am taking at my local Quilt store. I am quite advance compared to other students but since I learned by myself I am thinking it can't hurt and it is always fun to meet new people.

Friday finish of my confetti quilt

In between my machine travel to the repair shop, I was able to finish My Confetti Quilt. Let see how many first I have with this quilt.

First time doing an all solid quilt
First time doing a modern quilt
First time Doing this pattern of FMQ (So many crooked line lol)

Overall it was a nice and enjoyable quilt to make. I started doing an spiral in this quilt but didn't like the overall effect and picked it out.

I wanted to take pictures outside but between the snow storm and the frigid temperature, it has not been possible
