Busy busy busy

First let me tell you about a blog hop I will be participating next week!!!! When Alida from Tweety love quilting asked me to join....I was pretty much jumping up and down in my kitchen. How not to be excited when we have to reinterpret classical art into a quilt!!!! Painting, drawing, sculpture for all time period. I knew exactly who I wanted to inspire me and made a small wall hanging. I hope that you will join us for this blog hop :)

I appliqué my fox om his background. At first I was thinking of using an ombré  fabric that is coming soon but I was always going back to this batik......It is just too perfect. I might play around and see what I want to add...... I just know that I will add this quote "To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world....” that is why I put the fox on the side.

And I finished quilting a second butterfly. It is now with his pal on my living room wall :)

  1. you could not have picked a better fabric for the fox he looks very much at home. Much healthier than one I surprised and that surprised me in my garden a few weeks ago.Butterflies too are a delight

  3. Great progress on your fox Yanicka. I am very taken with your background....it looks like a forest of tree trunks and the green/blue contrasts beautifully with the russets of the fox so I am glad you stuck with it. The words are lovely and I am excited to see just how you will work them into your piece. Thank you so much for sharing with Design Board Monday.....till next time. C
