Still working on the dragon but almost done so I expect to have a top done in the middle of the week. For the background I use pretty much all of my black and white yardage and a fair amount of my scraps. I always wanted to do a low volume background and this little dragon is so colorful that I think it was the right time.
He make me smile every time I look at him :)
This week until November 26 I have a giveaway from my new sponsor!!! Just leave a comment on the color you want before November 26th and I will send one of you one bobbin of SuperSew (3000m) and SuperB (5000m)

I think your purple creature is adorable. I think he is a jabberwocky. I like the rosy purple from said critter as a color. Thanks for the give away.
ReplyDeleteYour dragon makes me smile too.
ReplyDeleteYour baby dragon is so cute, and the low volume background keeps it from looking cartoonish or babyish, which isn't easy to do. I do a lot of piecing with white or light gray. Jadahlgr at Yahoo dot Com
ReplyDeletethe black and white works so beautifully as it makes the dragon really pop. Cram would suit me fine if I were lucky enough to win a reel
ReplyDeleteVery bright and fun!
ReplyDeleteYour background is amazing. I would like the light gray if I win.
ReplyDeleteCongrat!!! You are the winner. I sent you an email :)
Deletewhat a fun quilt!
ReplyDeleteYour little dragon is darling! I agree that the black and white background fabrics set off the bright pastel dragon perfectly.
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute. Great job. I'd love to try any of the colors! Perhaps the muted gold would be fun to try.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt. I love your scrappy background. I'd love to try that thread. It's a new brand to me. I have no preference for color. Neutrals would be best, but I'm more than willing to try one of the brighter colors.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little critter! Nice!
ReplyDeleteYour dragon is a delight, not scary at all. Joanne
