Following the Quebec City Shooting, I felt the need to create to work with my emotions. I made this table runner and wrote the names of the victims on it.
The news of Quebec mosque is heart-breaking. We need so much more love and kindness now. Your runner is beautiful and it is a fitting homage to the victims.
A couple of years ago I hear Val McDiarmuid (UK crime writer) speak and she said that the arts are how we fight back against those who would have us afraid - what a beautiful way to process what happened and fight back
Such a thoughtful project. I know how difficult is sometimes to find ways to express our feelings and quilting is a great channel for those emotions. Thanks for sharing!
