Fairy at moonlight

It has been a hard week regarding my health so I didn't had a lot done. I was able to "finish" my Fairy at Moonlight quilt. "Finish" because I think it still missing something. More quilting? Might be but I finished the quilt using this tutorial

Super-Duper Easy Way to Face a Quilt (Or: How to Sew a Non-Binding Binding)!

Victoria Gertenbach from The silly BooDilly blog made a great photo tutorial that is easy to follow. I asked her to do this tutorial on video to show in real time how to do this binding and she said yes. So the first video will be in French coming next week probably.

I took the picture outside because it was sunny but darn it was cold and Windy!!!!!

The reason why I might do more quilting is because as you can see in the pictures, the fabric is really bumpy and wrinkly. I hate this indecision !!!!!

  1. I can see why you are considering doing more quilting on the background but I'm not sure wether I would, sometimes less is more and it adds to the character of the quilt which I should say is beautiful.

  2. Yes I agree, very very pretty but needs more quilting to actually make the whole thing pop.

  5. Maybe give it a steam and some of the wrinkles will smooth out. I don't know that it needs more quilting... it's lovely as it is! Thanks for linking up with TGIFF @ A Quarter Inch from the Edge.

  6. Such a lovely quilt Yanicka - hard to say about more quilting however, if you think it needs it then probably best to do more otherwise you won't be happy! I love Victoria photo tutorial.
