My Kitty "Look at that face" fractured image is on Craftsy

So is "The patriot" Now until the 4th of July this pattern is half off!!!!

Finally I have been nominated by Kathleen Scargle McCormick for the Leibster award !!!! I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart.
I will make a solo post  to answer the questions :)

New baby and new project

No I am not pregnant thank the Goddess!!! I am talking about my new Q'nique 14+....well not mine mine but it is at my place now and we are learning to become friend. The table didn't come with instructions but me and my husband long experience with Ikea finally paid off and we were able to assemble it without tears and much bad french words.

My first Video will be about threading and tension!!! There is a learning curve going from my Jenome Horizon 8200 (Josephine) to the Q'nique!!! who by the way really need a name so I am open to suggestions.

This is my new project

Isn't he the most handsome!!!
It might be a project with Northcott fabric but even if it does not work this pattern should be available soon.

The only question I have is his size....unless I make different patterns for different size.

Oh and he also need a name :)

Kitty and eagle

This week was a productive one. First the fractured image kitty top is done. I made the background to go with his wonderful green eyes :) A bit of modern and a bit of traditional, it has been almost 15 years since I made an Irish chain.

This quilt is only 42" x 48" for now and I might keep it this way or make it bigger but for now he is going on the "to quilt" pile

I also made the first try of my Fractured image Patriot Eagle quilt. Still not sure what to use as a background. There is a few re work I need to do but I like his fierce look. I would not mess with him for sure lol. The pattern will be available for the 4th of July at a discount price

What a week!!!!

I am home after Canada Quilt 2017 tired but so very happy. First the people were fantastic and I got so many wonderful compliments. It was very nice to talk about my art with all the nice ladies (and the few men)

My fractured image technique got rave reviews!!! people love it and they told my what they want as the next project : make a butterfly, a wolf, an elephant, fox..... my next year is going to be busy.

Next......I am now the new ambassador for Q'nique for English and French Canada. My Q'nique 14+ sit down machine should be in my home in the next few days !!!! In exchange I have to do 2 videos a month, one in french and one in english.

I also was contacted by 2 fabrics producer and distributors!!!! Can't wait to see what will come out of  this but it sound exciting

and finally I was contacted by a Canadian publisher of the "A needle pulling thread" magazine :)

All that is a bit overwhelming so I asked hubby to take care of everything lol so I can get back to the creation part

My project for this week is to have the pattern of  the eagle before the 4th of July

I didn't even get to talk about the wonderful quilt in the competition!!! and the stuff I bought  Maybe next time.

Here was my booth.

On my wall Monday

First I have Josephine back from the Sewing machine Hospital.
My Honey went to pick him up and when I saw her I said.
- My Baby!!!
-You are talking about me right? said my hubby
- Hummm sure :)

So now I finished quilting "the Ballerina" and blocked it. It is drying right now.

Since I wanted to demonstrate my "Fractured image" technique in my booth at Canada Quilt, I designed the pear and will have it at different stages of the process. I just have to do it 3 more times :)

I have 17 patterns out of 18 printed for sale, I have my Square for payments. I need to buy an inflatable bed to put behind my booth because my Narcolepsy will probably require me to take naps.
Getting there!!!!!

What a timing!!!

I was Free motion quilting along when I remembered that my Janome's guaranty was about to elapse. So I had to bring "Josephine" to the sewing machine Dr. What a time to be without my baby. Here is where I was when I had to stop.

For the ballerina I still have to do the geometric triangles and tackle the border, make a 3D tulle tutu and add blings in her hair. She is going to be fabulous :)

And that is pretty much it for the Canada Quilt show!!!!

In other news I found an awesome background for my summer Goddess designed by Melissa Marie Collins. Usually I do not buy such expensive fabric but It had to come home with me.

If I knew how to sew I would make a summer dress with that fabric :)

and Finally "fractured Image" Kitty is missing front paws for the moment. I think he might need a little mouse friend :)
