This has been me view a lot in the last week
The problem with an autoimmune disorder is that you never know how the day will go. There is good days and bad days, there is also bad weeks and good weeks. Last week was not that great.
I was still able to create, not very much, 15-30 minutes at a time. If I didn't have my art.....my life would be a much darker place.
Ok now back to my friday....not finished
Pumpkin!!!
I love it!!! I also added an apple to add to the fall harvest theme. I did not appliqué anything yet, this project is still ongoing.
Speaking of Ongoing, my Storm at sea is slowly growing. Slowly but surely..... I keep finding all those piece of paper all over the house no matter how careful I am!
To specify, the storm at see is the background to the butterfly.
Have a nice and creative weekend Everyone!!!!

OMG, those are gorgeous! I love the pumpkin and apple but the bottom one looks like a butterfly in front of the storm at sea. Did you paper piece those triangles?
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the storm at sea is the background for my butterfly lol. I made the butterfly using my fractured image technique.
DeletePoor you, I hope you pick up soon. LOVE the wall of books though - it makes me happy just to see that.
ReplyDeleteI love your pumpkin and I also love your Wolf.
ReplyDeleteI live with a brain injury. I feel your pain. The last couple weeks have been brutal for me. I hope you are back in a more sustained period of creativity soon!
ReplyDeletenice, i do agree that the storm at sea looks like a butterfly.

ReplyDeleteYour fractured image technique is SO compelling. You have a knack for getting the values just right.
ReplyDeleteYour projects are coming along nicely. Glad you are feeling better and that you were able to sneak in a little creativity here and there. That is my goal this week.

ReplyDeleteMy daughter has a TBI from an auto accident 5 years back. I know what you mean about good days and bad days. You have to go with the flow.
ReplyDeleteLove your work, Yanicka, but it is your sunny attitude that is truly inspirational. The fruits are beautiful and I am sure the Storm at Sea will be a show-stopper. Sending you lots of love, hugs and best wishes.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read it was a bad week but so glad you are able to work in colour using fabric to help you through those dark days, colour is a wonderful medium to help you through those days and you sure know how to use colours what a joy to see all those coloured pieces in this blog, I specially like the colours in the pumpkin. Cheers Glenda
