Batting, fabric and threads oh my!!!!

This week I was able to finish this little Christmas wall hanging. Let just say that the bow is not doing it for me. I might try some tulle bow. I will get back to you :)

I did the quilting with my walking foot using the book "Walking foot Quilting Design" by Melissa Martinget. It is full of great idea!!!! I used a variation of her design called Burst.

This week I once again had a bit of fun with my marbled fabrics and added a block to the previous one.

Water marbling is quite an experience.....and it can be very frustrating because a million things can go wrong. Some days you love what you created and some days you hate everything. Hopefully with time I will get more that I like and less frustrations.

I also started quilting Theodore the tiger quilt. Those are the threads that I pulled.

So many yummy colors.

And finally, I have to test all those batting and do a video for one of my sponsor :) I will play with those and see how they react. Never tried fusible before. I also want to pre shrink them and see if there is a lot of difference.

Should be fun.

And a little update on the splash of color QAL. Still sewing :)

Theodore the tiger pattern available!!!!

I am happy to let you know that Theodore the tiger pattern is now available!!!! You can find him on my web site or on Craftsy. (Hint....he is less expensive on my site ) You can also buy the kit from BaliBatikiki, an amazing place to get your batiks directly from Jakarta from the artisans instead of paying for all those middle mans!!!!  I am not sure how much the kit is so as soon as I know I will let you know.

This week I was finally able to start using my own Marbled fabrics and combined it with this awesome Carolyn Friedlander fat quater :)

I also was feeling like fall and made this cute wall hanging / table runner. The leaf is 3D

I also made a video tutorial to make "flower" FMQ pattern. I love this fast pattern and the texture is amazing :)
