Making a quilt for a friend

One of my friend asked me to do a quilt for her mother's 75th birthday. Her mother is a sweetheart and I said yes right away. She showed me a Pinterest picture....so I had to play detective to find the rightful owner of this pattern. Turn out is was an older Kellie Wulfsohn. Pay the designer people!!! It is important.  I ordered my favorite fabrics form my favorite Company: Northcott Fabrics. 2 very yummy layer cakes.

It will be an applique medallion and below is border number 2.

I am even doing turned edge applique.....so you know that like the lady!!!!

and more painting....because it is my blog LOL

Wow long time no see

Hi,
you might remember me from former blog post such as "Sewing machine at the repair shop" and "I should not have used those 2 fabrics together"
I have not posted in almost a month. It is not that I didn't do anything creative, it is just that I changed medium for a bit. Sometime it is necessary to re kindle the creative process.

Some of them have fabrics so I never stray very far from my favorite medium :D

That being said I did some sewing. Quilting on Theodore the tiger is pretty much done.

And I am working to finish my "Spanish Tiles" Table runner

There.....you are up to date :D
