No, it's not a cat that walked on my keyboard lol
This is the JOKKMOKK from IKEA
With my new Baby Lock, the sewing table I had was not working anymore. A few minutes on Google and we found a few amazing Ikea sewing table hacks!
Looked easy enough that my husband (a not very handyman Geek) recruited his brother (a little more handyman banker) to make my new sewing table. Let me tell you that they did a really good job :)

You can find anything you ever wanted to know on Google, U-tube and Pinterest. This is a great hack and you are lucky to have a pretty darned good hacker!!

Absolutely wonderful! I salute your husband and brother-in-law. I hope you have many wonderful sewing hours using it.
ReplyDeleteGreat job. I've had hubby adapt some tables for my vintage machines.
ReplyDeleteThe table looks great. It gives you so much space. I think the geek and banker make a dynamic DIY duo.
ReplyDeleteWow!! They did a GREAT job!! Enjoy your new "sewing" table.
ReplyDeleteSome years ago my husband did the same to two of the long 6 foot table tops from Ikea so I can move from one to the other machine, he made it so if machine is lifted out I drop in the original wood he cut away. Today he made an inset of perspex where I put light below and I now have good area flat to table surface for tracing stuff.
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea! I'm always so amazed at how people come up with these hacks! And where would we be without the internet to inspire us!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic. What a great "free" idea. Thanks for sharing.
